Garage Floors
Protect concrete from hot tires, oil, road salt, moisture, and daily vehicle traffic.
Upgrade your garage, basement, workshop, patio, or commercial concrete with a durable polyurea or polyaspartic flake floor coating built for Michigan conditions.
Flake coating—also called chip or broadcast coating—is a multi-layer concrete floor system. Decorative vinyl flakes are broadcast into a wet base coat and sealed beneath a clear protective topcoat. The result is a textured, attractive floor designed to handle everyday wear.
Veteran Pro Coating installs flake systems using polyaspartic and polyurea coatings rather than traditional epoxy. These systems cure quickly and are designed to resist UV exposure, road salt, chemicals, hot tires, vehicle traffic, and Northern Michigan’s freeze-thaw conditions.

Every installation follows a detailed preparation and coating process because proper surface prep is what helps the system perform.
We mechanically grind the concrete to create the correct surface profile. Cracks, spalling, and qualifying imperfections are addressed before coating begins.
A premium polyurea or polyaspartic base coat is applied to the prepared concrete to create a strong bond and receive the decorative flake.
Decorative vinyl flake is broadcast into the wet base coat at the selected coverage level and blend.
After the floor is scraped and prepared, a clear protective topcoat is applied to seal the system and provide the finished surface.
Polyurea and polyaspartic systems generally cure faster and provide strong resistance to UV exposure, chemicals, abrasion, and temperature changes. The right system depends on the condition and use of your concrete.
Many residential projects can be completed in one day, although larger spaces, repairs, moisture conditions, and weather can affect the schedule.
Return-to-service times depend on the coating system and site conditions. We will give you clear instructions for foot traffic, moving items back in, and parking vehicles after installation.
Many cracks and surface imperfections can be repaired during preparation. We will inspect the slab and explain what can be repaired before recommending a coating system.
The broadcast flake creates texture, and additional traction options may be available. No coated floor is completely slip-proof, especially when wet, so the intended use should be discussed during the estimate.
